Introduction: Self-medication refers to the act of obtaining a drug without prescription in order use it for treatment. The objective this study is describe epidemiological characteristics errors related self-medication Morocco. Method: This retrospective self-medication, reported Moroccan Poison Control Center between 2014 and 2018. Results: During period, 99 medication were recorded, which 31.6% concerned children under age 15 years. average patients was 26.6 sex ratio balanced, with 4 breastfeeding women. Almost all cases (94.9%) occurred at home. Drugs acting on nervous system accounted 39.4% notifications. medicine error 47.5% cases. patient himself responsible 57.6% Drug administration oral 84.5% Of cases, 32.7% symptomatic. Conclusion: dangers are multiple. Sometimes, can lead severe complications. It therefore strongly recommended follow medical pharmacist’s instructions as well educate public about risks associated self-medication.
